Stephanie Landrum is President & CEO of AEDP, where she leads Alexandria's strategy for long-term, inclusive economic growth. Her work supports AEDP's mission by positioning Alexandria as a premier destination where businesses thrive alongside a vibrant, livable community. Since joining AEDP in 2005 and becoming CEO in 2015, she has helped shape the city's modern economy through high-profile projects, regional partnerships, and business development initiatives.
She oversees AEDP's strategic and financial operations, including small business programs and the City's Industrial Development Authority, and serves as a key advisor to City leadership. Her work has helped secure transformative investments including Amazon HQ2 and the Virginia Tech Institute for Advanced Computing — while advancing a collaborative, community-focused approach to growth.
Stephanie is widely recognized for her leadership, with honors from the Washington Business Journal, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, and Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. She was recently named one of the "50 Most Influential People in Northern Virginia" by Northern Virginia Magazine.
She holds a B.S. in City and Regional Planning and an MBA from the University of Virginia — and believes work should be both meaningful and fun (especially if it includes karaoke).
